About

Nigel & Esther are gifted in serving, leadership, worship and children’s ministry which has been acquired in the context of the local church over a period of 20 years. In addition they have gained valuable experience volunteering for charities and organisations such as Baptist Missionary Society, Scripture Union, George Mullers & Spring Harvest.

More recently, they served at Cosmeston Church in Wales in the areas of worship & children’s ministries. In 2005, it became clear that God was leading them to work overseas. With the blessing, encouragement and support of their home church, they made contact with Robby Bradford and Sebastiaan van Wessem who were leading a new church plant in the Netherlands.

In 2006, Nigel & Esther moved to Hilversum in the Netherlands and became involved in this exciting new church planting venture. This gave them the opportunity to serve in a variety of ministries and develop a desire for church planting. Hilversum International Christian Center started it’s first public worship service on Sunday, 16 April 2006. On 21 May 2006 HICC celebrated its Grand Opening in the Zuiderkerk, the building the church is currently still meeting in. Since April 2006 HICC has grown substantially to almost 300 in attendance. HICC is a prime example of what God can do when believers from all over the world work together in unity to let the light of Jesus shine in their communities. While HICC has been blessed abundantly by the Lord and by the people that have helped make the dream come true, its leaders want to extend this blessing to other churches, pastors and the missions field.”

Nigel works as a part-time volunteer for The Bridge and is busy developing music tuition and software consultancy businesses. He also studies an online Theology course with Spurgeons college, London.

Esther is a stay-at-home mum who enjoys serving in many areas of church life including children’s ministry, administration and small group leadership
